SUMMARY
Performs a variety of maintenance and repair work relating to one of the following trades: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and environmental.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Working knowledge of the following: Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, & HVAC
Complete assigned trade work orders as designated by supervisor.
- Complete all non-trade assignments as designated by supervisor (similar to general duties of Class ‘B’ employees).
- Repairs/restrings blinds.
- Repairs fencing.
- Continually update supervisor concerning preventative maintenance needs.
- Maintain an inventory of supplies and repair parts within trade.
- Keep current on all Federal, State and Local Laws pertaining to trade.
- Remove snow with and without tractors; cut grass.
QUALIFICATIONS

Prefer a trade or technical school certificate. Prefer journeyman’s experience in related field. Demonstrate skills and knowledge of current trade laws through satisfactory completion of trade test and current law conducted by a preselected testing method.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, blueprints, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have a valid driver’s license.
